Hyperthermia, The Immune System’s Ally

Integrative Hyperthermia

Hyperthermia: The immune system’s ally in the battle against cancer. “Our immune system knows how to fight such diseases as cancer. Inside our lymph nodes, T-cells are activated against cancer cells. This happens with the help of surface receptors. But to prevent overreactions of T-cells, these immune cells also express programmed cell death protein 1, PD-1.”

This video explains how hyperthermia promotes immunobiological effects, thus supporting the human body in its fight against tumors. This 3D animation video has been developed, directed and produced by Monica Sennewald. The scientific support was provided by Professor Dr. Udo Gaipl of Universitätsklinikum Erlangen and the graphic animation was realized by Gebrüder Betz in Berlin.
